Ein bisschen deutschen Schreiben

This is a little story I had to write for my German class. Enjoy!
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ein treuliebender Ring
Es war einmal ein junger Mann. Er hieß Cuinn und er war gebürtiger Ire. Eines Tages fand er einen magischen Ring. Der Ring war ein einfaches, goldenes Band, aber er hatte eine besondere Qualität. Dieser Ring war einen treuliebender Ring.
Viele schöne Frauen kamen und probierten den Ring an. Jedes Mal wurden sie hässlich. Sie war nicht Cuinn's treue Liebe. Er wurde depremiert und dachte, „Wann werde ich sie finden?"
Eines Tages traf er eine hässliche Frau, aber sie hatte den besten Charakter, besser als die anderen Frauen. Sie kam, um den Ring anzuprobieren. Cuinn war es verdächtig, aber er mochte ihren Charakter, so gab er ihr den Ring.
Als sie den Ring auf ihren Finger nahm, transformierte sie in eine schöne Frau. Sie heirateten am Morgen, und wenn sie nicht gestorben sind, dann leben sie noch heute.
Thanks a million!
To all of you who have prayed for our family in these last few days, thank you, and please keep up the good work!
To all who were present yesterday, your prescense was most wonderful, and I and the rest of my family thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love, compassion, and support!
To the Russell family, thank you for opening up your home to us yesterday. It was so nice to have somewhere to sit and talk with everyone!
1 Samuel 3:1-10
1 The boy Samuel ministered before the LORD under Eli. In those days the word of the LORD was rare; there were not many visions.
2 One night Eli, whose eyes were becoming so weak that he could barely see, was lying down in his usual place.
3 The lamp of God had not yet gone out, and Samuel was lying down in the temple of the LORD, where the ark of God was.
4 Then the LORD called Samuel.Samuel answered, "Here I am."
5 And he ran to Eli and said, "Here I am; you called me." But Eli said, "I did not call; go back and lie down." So he went and lay down.
6 Again the LORD called, "Samuel!" And Samuel got up and went to Eli and said, "Here I am; you called me." "My son," Eli said, "I did not call; go back and lie down."
7 Now Samuel did not yet know the LORD : The word of the LORD had not yet been revealed to him.
8 The LORD called Samuel a third time, and Samuel got up and went to Eli and said, "Here I am; you called me." Then Eli realized that the LORD was calling the boy.
9 So Eli told Samuel, "Go and lie down, and if he calls you, say, 'Speak, LORD, for your servant is listening.' " So Samuel went and lay down in his place.
10 The LORD came and stood there, calling as at the other times, "Samuel! Samuel!" Then Samuel said, "Speak, for your servant is listening."
God bless you all abundantly my dear friends!
The passing of a soul
Yesterday marked the birth and, sadly, death of my youngest brother, Samuel Joseph Wilson. Only about four months in the womb, he now stands in the presence of our most gracious Heavenly Father. Please continue to keep my mother and our family in your prayers. Thanks!
Entshuldigungen massenweise!
Ich will auf Deutsch schreiben, damit ich Zenka ägere. Ich habe jetzt ihre ewiges Liebe und Zuneigung. Was kann ich mit diesen machen? Ich weiß nicht jetzt, aber ich will von etwas denken. Ich will später mehr schreiben, aber jetzt muss ich zu meine letzte Klasse gehen. Bis später, Tschüs!
A bit of original writing!
Well, looking back on my previous posts, I noticed a trend towards laziness. More specifically, I had taken to posting things already written. Well, today I decided to break that trend. So here is a bit of straight from the heart of Kodi writing!
Just FYI I probably will most likely be a ghost in cyberspace for the next two weeks. For the next two weeks, my life will consist of: Get up at 5.30, leave for school by 7, Three hours of classes, get home just before noon, three hours to do as much homework as I can, then an hour commute down to Seattle, followed by 5 hours of training, another hour commute home, collapse into bed and repeat. Prayers would be greatly appreciated!
Also, Lent starts tomorrow, and I am eagerly looking forward to that, though I will be unable to make it Mass. Curse you college professors for having test on those days!
I will try and post more later, as my schedule warrants, though it's not looking promising for the next two weeks. Hope you all are having a splendid day!
A riddle...
I have a word of woe and dread.
The stuff of war, a butcher’s shed.
But if you take an”s” from this,
Strange is the metamorphosis.
What before spoke of pain, shame, a bloody mess,
Now betokens comfort, joy, a happy rest.
I love this song!
I am understood?~ Lyrics by Matthew Thiesen of Relient K
Sometimes it's embarrasing
To talk to you
To hold a conversation with
The only One
Who sees right through
This version of myself I try
To hide behind.
I'll bury my face
Because my disgrace
Will leave me terrified.
And sometimes, I'm so thankful for
Your loyalty
Your love, regardless of
The mistakes I make, will spoil me.
My confidence, is in a sense,
The gift you've given me.
And I'm satisfied,
To realize,
You're all I'll ever need.
You looked into my life
And never stopped
And you're thinking all my thoughts
Are so simple,
But so beautiful.
And you recite my words right back to me
Before I even speak
You let me know,
I am understood.
And sometimes I spend my time
Just trying to escape.
I work so hard, so desperately
in an attempt to create space.
'Cause I want distance
From the utmost important thing I know.
I see your love,
Then turn my back,
And I beg for you to go.
You're the only one
Who understands,
Completely.
You're the only one who knows me
Yet still loves me
Completely.
And sometimes, the place I'm at
Is at a loss for words.
If I think of something worthy,
I know that it's already yours.
And through the times I've faded
And you've outlined me again,
You've just patiently waited
To bring me back and then...
You looked into my life
And never stopped
And you're thinking all my thoughts
Are so simple,
But so beautiful.
And you recite my words right back to me
Before I even speak
You let me know,
I am understood.
The noise has broken my defense,
Let me embrace salvation!
Your voice has broken my defense,
Let me embrace salvation!
The door way to Kodi
Enter ye all who dare!!
Hmmm...
"The Germans... split a verb in two and put half of it at the beginning of an exciting chapter and the other half at the end of it. The German grammar is blistered all over with separable verbs; and the wider the two portions of one of them are spread apart, the better the author of the crime is pleased with his performance.... However, it is not well to dwell too much on the separable verbs. One is sure to lose his temper early; and if he sticks to the subject, and will not be warned, it will at last either soften his brain or petrify it."
~Excerpt from Mark Twain, "The Awful German Language"
This is basically what I am going through in German right now, along with learning the perfect past participle. Yay!!!
Like a thieve in the night...
The new year has stole its way upon us. I can hardly believe that today is New Year's Eve, and that a whole year has already passed between now and the last time we rang in the new year. Yet so many things have happened that ascertain that it has indeed been a whole year. So, here's looking forward to a new year full of family, friends, and fun and a prayer that God may continue to bless you all abundantly!
